I’ve had a break from performing and recording …. I guess I just needed sometime away after touring and singing constantly since I was 14.
Sometimes you just need to take care of yourself and reassess your life. During that time I did a lot of soul searching about who I had become, what I had achieved, didn’t and where I was going.
Music is always at the root of all decisions I make and it was inevitable I came back …. Older and wiser and witness an industry that’s turned upside down on it’s head.
It’s exciting this digital age for all musicians. We are now able to record our music independently and control most of the aspects of it that define and are important to us … I’m excited. I’m loving social media and the New Zealand’s music industry right now.
